A Runner's Pain

Comments (0)

Running is a great way to burn calories and also maintain a happy and healthy mental state. However, many runners frequently develop foot and heel pain. My suggestion for the runners we see in the office is to always stretch before exercise. Avid runners can properly look after their feet by stretching before a run and ensuring they have proper supportive shoe wear.

The best way to ensure proper stretching for your heel pain is to wear a stretching splint. A stretching splint is an easy way to ease your pain and maintain proper foot health. The splint is a boot like device worn on your foot. You put it on just like a normal boot and strap your leg into it. Once it’s on, you simply pull the straps on the side to the tension level you can tolerate without it being painful. Also, you must be able to leave the boot on for at least 30 minutes. So please make sure you have the proper level of tension that is best for your body.

After all this, you will have completed the foot stretch necessary for the day. Again, stretching splints are a great way to help alleviate your heel pain associated with running. Please contact us with any further questions you may have about night splints or heel pain!
