Well, I did it. I travelled to
1. I had my BIOFREEZE with me! (Roll-on rocks for long lines!)
2. I stretched, stretched, and stretched some more!! Every line I was in, I focused on performing my Achilles tendon stretches to keep me from getting tight.
3. Water! I had my empty bottle with me in the park and I refilled 3 times!
4. Good shoes, good orthotics, comfy clothes – the perfect combination for a magical time!!
Since I only had one night to see everything Disney, I had to strategize and make all those steps count. I learned all about Fast Passes and where the best place to stretch is (hint – it’s in the Space Mountain line – lots of places to lean up against and stretch out those legs) and where to find all the water fountains. The key was to pace myself and just think of the night as the best way to exercise in the park!
Some downsides – I developed a blister on my right foot from the walking. Next time I will plan with a NEW pair of Aetrex socks and a comfy pad to offload my pesky toe joint!! Worth the price of admission for sure!
