There are lots of different tools out there to use on your nails. Today, I will focus on different types of nail files and which one is best for you.
Glass file: My favorite file because it has a smooth surface and is easy to use. It will not cut the nail, won’t damage your skin, and is thin enough to fit between the nail and rest of the skin. Be aware, a glass file can break if dropped.
Four-sided buffer: These are very large! A four-sided buffer can be difficult to use if you are unfamiliar with it. Side one is the actual filing nail tip, side two is for ridges, three soothes, and four shines.
Paper nail file: The most common file people use. Pretty much like sandpaper! It can really hurt skin around the nail if you are not careful. Pros: cost effective, washable and can be disinfected.
Metal nail file: Some are very thin, with sharp ends that can be dangerous if you are not carful. One positive thing about this nail file; you can use it for cleaning under tips of your nails
