Trapped in a Toe Web

Comments (0)

While the only webs you may be concerned with this Halloween season are spider webs, the team at HFAA wants you to also be vigilant about the toe webs, or the in between spaces of the toes. These spaces are prone to fungal infections of the skin, like Athlete’s Foot!  When infections like these touch the skin of the foot, antifungal medication are necessary to combat the problem.  However, fungal infections require a little more work to fight off if they occur between the toes.

Athlete’s Foot that occurs between the toes can cause these areas to become itchy, hot, and produce an odor.  Furthermore, the skin between the toes can become dry, cracking and peeling from the toes, leaving the webbed spaces raw and vulnerable.  Typical treatments involve using a moisturizing antifungal cream, however, we want to keep the areas between the toes as dry as possible while still delivering a fungal fighting formula.

At HFAA, when we see Athlete’s foot attack between the toes, we have come to rely on MacerRx Web Gel.  This product is unique because it features an astringent vehicle to deliver the antifungal properties of the product.  This allows the webbed spaces to dry fast and relieve the symptoms quickly.  Without that excess moisture, the areas between the toes will no longer be able to host that nasty infection!
