It’s pretty well known that I enjoy celebrity gossip but I have curbed my urges to check out all the hub-bub regarding the latest celebrity wedding – I was doing so well until I saw a google alert about Kim Kardashian’s wedding preparations last week before her wedding to Kanye West.
According to PerezHilton.com, Kim had a small cosmetic procedure performed on her toes to eliminate excess fat - all so she can wear her fantastic (and they were fantastic!) Louboutin shoes at her wedding in Italy.
So what is all the fuss about? There are a number of cosmetic procedures popular when treating our feet:
- Botox injections to help with sweating (must be repeated every 4-6 weeks).
- Toe liposuction to make your feet “thinner”.
- Elective amputation of toes (usually the baby toe) to help fit into high fashion heels.
Sounds excessive? While I agree that the above procedures are extreme, they are becoming more commonplace as fashionable shoe designers come up with even crazier footgear for women to try.
NO procedure is without risk, the most important of which is the possibility of an infection after the procedure. Make sure that if you are looking into any of these options that you weigh the risks and benefits very carefully before proceeding!
Finally, to make your toes look summer ready with a great facelift, consider trying a non-invasive option like Keryflex to cover up any unsightly toenails and to have a beautiful pick me up! Beauty doesn’t have to equal pain ladies – just remember you will still have those feet at age 85! Treat them right!!
